👋 Hey, I'm Sulaiman (sue-lay-man) — though plenty of people just go with Sulai (sue-lay). I'm an engineer who loves taking hard problems and turning them into software people actually enjoy using.

I've spent my career bouncing between startups and bigger companies, building everything from internal tools to customer-facing products. These days a lot of my energy goes into AI — figuring out how to make it genuinely useful inside the products people rely on, instead of bolting it on as a buzzword. I'm happiest in the early, ambiguous part of a problem, moving fast next to a team that just likes to build.

A few things that are usually on my mind:

• Building things that matter. The projects I'm proudest of are the ones that make someone's day a little easier. That's what pulled me toward learning and education, and why I started Nabda, where I've been exploring how to make online learning feel less clunky and a lot more human.
• AI that actually helps. I like being hands-on with where the industry is heading — building AI features and agents that quietly take the busywork off people's plates rather than getting in the way.
• Lifting other people up. So much of who I am as an engineer comes from the mentors who took a chance on me, so I try to pay that forward — helping students and newer engineers find their footing in tech.

Most of my time these days goes into AI development — building agents that can carry a task from a rough idea all the way to a finished pull request, and weaving today's best AI models and tooling deep into the products and workflows people lean on every day. It's the most fun I've had building in years, and the pace of what's suddenly possible is what keeps me hooked.
